As a new mom-to-be, I am starting to receive advice from everyone I know who has had kids, and an equal number of people without kids. So far, my honest parenting plan is that I will have no clue what I am doing once the baby comes home, and my husband and I will figure out a routine that works for us. This seems to be the only way I can reasonably manage the information overload that is currently coming at me.
That being said, I am also sure that after the baby is born I will be scrambling to remember all those wonderful new mom tips and tricks people tried to share with me before he or she arrived.
Did anyone else feel overwhelmed by all the do’s and don’ts of having a new baby? How did you manage to retain the useful information, and filter out the rest?
What is the best advice you received pre-baby?
